Referrals
DUE TO PATIENT LOAD, NEUROREHABILITATION SUNSHINE COAST IS CURRENTLY NOT MAKING APPOINTMENTS FOR NEW REFERRALS. SHOULD YOU WISH TO SEE DR JENNINGS-BELL WE WILL BE ABLE TO ADD YOU TO OUR WAITING LIST AND HOPE TO BE ABLE TO OFFER APPOINTMENTS AGAIN EITHER LATE 2024 OR EARLY 2025.
A clinical consultation with Dr Jennings-Bell can be requested by your GP or a specialist involved in your care. This consultation will consist of a review of your medical history, medications, social history, an examination, relevant investigations and then recommended treatment options. This can take up to 1 hour.
Referrals can be sent electronically to our practice through Medical-Objects or via email to admin@neurorehabilitation.com.au.
Once your referral is sent to the practice it will be reviewed by Dr Jennings-Bell. Practice staff will then contact you to arrange an appointment. If you don’t hear from our practice, please call us to ensure the referral has been received. GP referrals last at least 12 months whereas a specialist referral will only last 3 months. Under Medicare laws, if you do not have a referral from a doctor, Medicare rebates will not be available to you.
Prior to your appointment you will receive a link via email which will allow you to complete your patient registration information before your initial assessment. If you are unable to complete this process online, please inform the clinic staff ahead of your appointment.
It is important that you bring your medical history and a list of your current medications to your appointment.
